Program Planning

The GT-Shenzhen MS ECE program has a flexible format. Students who are admitted through the GT-Shenzhen campus must commit to spending the first two semesters of academic studies at GT-Shenzhen. The last semester can be spent at GT-Shenzhen, or GT-Atlanta, or GT-Lorraine in France. Students are encouraged to participate in internships under a GT graduate co-op arrangement. During the internship semester, students will be able to keep full-time student status at GT as well as maintain access to GT resources. GT-Shenzhen provides a framework for the students to mix-and-match academic, industrial, and study abroad experiences and still graduate in 1-2 years. GT-Shenzhen aims to develop the whole student, and will provide communication and leadership development opportunities for students.

It is anticipated that most new students will matriculate in the fall semester, although the program will enroll new students for all 3 semesters of the year – fall, spring, and summer. Below are a few sample program plans assuming fall semester start and can be easily modified for spring or summer semester start. Upon entering the GT-Shenzhen program, our academic advisor will assist students to customize their program plans based on the objectives and interests of the individual students.
